Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner to lead the development and enhancement of our loan platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, deep domain knowledge in financial services (specifically lending and credit systems), and proven experience driving cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional product outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the product roadmap for the loan platform, defining clear priorities and aligning with business goals.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, translate them into user stories, and manage the product backlog.

• Work closely with engineering, UX/UI, and data science teams to ensure product features are delivered on time, meeting high-quality standards.

• Ensure seamless integration of core modules such as KYC (Know Your Customer) via Ondato, credit scoring, bank account verification, and automated underwriting.

• Oversee the legal contract workflows, including document generation, e-signature functionality with DocuSign, and tracking contract status.

• Lead sprint planning, daily standups, and backlog grooming in collaboration with the development team.

• Manage third-party integrations, including credit bureaus (TransUnion, Experian), open banking APIs (e.g., Plaid, Flinks), and KYC providers like Ondato.

• Oversee loan workflows, including onboarding, loan approval, disbursement, and repayment, ensuring compliance with financial regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).

• Analyze and optimize loan and contract workflows to enhance the customer experience and minimize friction points in the platform.

• Define and track key performance metrics to evaluate feature success and improve decision-making.

• Stay updated on industry trends and ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner or similar role within the fintech, banking, or lending industry.

• Strong understanding of lending processes, credit risk models, loan underwriting, and financial compliance.

• Experience integrating KYC platforms like Ondato and managing digital contract processes with DocuSign or similar tools.

• Technical proficiency in managing API integrations and understanding backend architecture (experience with service-oriented architecture, AWS, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.).

• Experience working with modern development stacks, ideally with NestJS, Next.js and AWS-based infrastructure.

• Familiarity with regulatory standards in the financial sector (KYC, AML, data protection, etc.).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Proven experience in Agile methodologies, with hands-on participation in sprint planning, backlog management, and continuous iteration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with credit bureau APIs (e.g., TransUnion, Experian) and open banking integrations (e.g., Plaid, Flinks).

• Knowledge of real-time credit scoring, automated loan underwriting systems, and risk assessment tools.

• Familiarity with legal contract workflows, digital signatures (DocuSign), and KYC verification (Ondato).

• Knowledge of end-to-end testing, compliance checks, and audit trail implementation for lending platforms.
